Look…it’s late and I’m loosing steam so let me be brief.

Sure, I’m playing drums in this photo but this portfolio site isn’t about that. Isn’t about that in the least. I’m just using that photo because I pretty much hate every photo taken of me lately and this one doesn’t sting too bad when I look at it.

Anyway, this is my portfolio site. I’m an Art Director living in Salt Lake City. I’m married with two kids, like shiny things, burritos and complimentary beverages. I work hard, often and am pretty much consumed with visual arts, the internet and how it just might save the world.

Graduation Celebration Invite

When I graduated it was a happy day. And when I say it was a happy day I’m not kiddin’. So happy in fact, that my lovely wife decided to throw me a party. Too bad a weather front was moving through and killed the party. Oh well, more burgers & chips for me.

Anyway, I remember that my hand cramped all afternoon after hand-lettering this. All that suffering for naught…

ANALOGOUS CLOCK #1

The assignment given was to create two analogous clocks based on a profession or trade. My chosen profession is that of a drummer.

This clock addresses confrontation, where one geometric form confronts another giving the viewer an approximate reading of time, much like a drummer is constantly having to interpret his/her version of time.

AMERICAN FORK MENU

For years I have dreamt of opening a restaurant with the culinary oddities that rural Utah has to offer. The recipes would all be derived from Relief Society cookbooks and the atmosphere would have to aesthetically challenge the beauty of a Cultural Hall, circa 1954.

One part thrift, one part utilitarian, this place mat menu hopefully evokes an afternoon at Grandma’s house celebrating some blessed event over the tastiest of comfort food.
